Optimise your charging with Mobilize and Octopus Energy
The Mobilize Smart Charge app helps customers manage and optimise the costs of home charging. The app is powered by Octopus Energy's Intelligent Octopus Go tariff and enables you to charge with 100% renewable electricity1 from Octopus. It's the UK's favourite car charging tariff^.

How do you use Mobilize Smart Charge?
Get started with Mobilize Smart Charge!
1. Download the My Renault app and register your vehicle.
2. Download the Mobilize Smart Charge app. Create an account, enter your vehicle and the address where you want to charge it.
3. Specify your off-peak/peak times and rates, if applicable.
4. Enter your delivery point to start earning with smart charging.
5. Provide your bank details to redeem these savings.
Connect Mobilize Smart Charge to your charging point!
1. Check that your smartphone is connected to the Internet.
2. Ensure that your vehicle is close to your charging point to enable geolocation.
3. Connect Mobilize Smart Charge to your vehicle’s multimedia system and follow the steps in the app.
Charge your vehicle and benefit from smart charging!
1. Set a first simple charge level if you need a minimum driving range.
2. Select a charging start time based on your off-peak times otherwise simple charging will start immediately.
3. Set the charge level that you want to reach with smart charge.
4. Select your planned departure time. Your vehicle will be charged by the scheduled time!
How to read your app:
- Orange corresponds to simple charging.
- Blue corresponds to smart charging.
In both cases, the dark part illustrates the charging completed and the light part the remaining charge needed to reach your requested charge level.

Is my electrical set-up compatible with Mobilize Smart Charge?
To benefit from this service, you need a smart meter (in your name) in your home.
Is my multimedia system compatible with Mobilize Smart Charge?
Your vehicle’s connected services must be enabled for your Mobilize Smart Charge to connect automatically. Compatible services are openR link, R-Link and Easy link.

†Compared to Standard Variable Tariff. Both the Standard Variable Tariff and Intelligent Octopus Go (IOG) calculation assume a 2308kWh/year charging estimated annual consumption (EAC). This is based on the assumption that the driver will cover 10,000 miles/year using a Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% electric comfort range (60kWh useable battery capacity and real-life range of 260 miles). The IOG calculation assumes all charging is done via smart-charging (i.e. charged at the off-peak rate). The running cost quotes do not include the standing daily charges, and are VAT inclusive.
^Survey commissioned in September 2023 by Octopus and conducted by YouGov. Purpose of survey: asking audience how they charge, who they charge with and how happy they are. YouGov surveyed 2,070 people in total. Intelligent Octopus Go was the most popular EV tariff for drivers to be on, followed closely by Octopus Go giving Octopus EV tariffs 39% of the market.
